No change in release date for Yash’s Toxic

Yash’s upcoming film “Toxic” is being keenly watched, especially in terms of its theatrical business. His previous outing, KGF: Chapter 2, was not just a box-office phenomenon but also played a pivotal role in taking the Kannada film industry to the national stage. With Toxic, Yash is once again under pressure to deliver a blockbuster and further cement his superstardom.

However, Toxic is set to face direct competition at the box office, as “Dhurandhar 2” is also slated for release on March 19, 2026—the same day Yash’s film is scheduled to hit theatres. Notably, when Yash initially announced the release date for Toxic, “Dhurandhar 2” was not part of the release calendar.

Following the massive success of “Dhurandhar,” which emerged as one of the biggest hits in Hindi cinema, the makers decided to fast-track the sequel and lock the Ramzan 2026 release window, finalising March 19, 2026, as the release date. This development sparked rumours that “Toxic” might be postponed to avoid a high-voltage clash.

Putting an end to the speculation, the “Toxic” team has reiterated that there is no change in their release plans. Along with the confirmation, the makers also unveiled a brand-new poster today, revealing Bollywood actress Tara Sutaria’s character. She will be seen playing Rebeca in the film.

Titled “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups,” the film is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film also features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi in prominent roles.
