NTR as a sportsman in ‘Uppena’ Buchi Babu’s film

One success can change a director’s fate. Buchi Babu is the latest example. The director who made his debut with ‘Uppena’, which turned out to be a huge blockbuster, has got final confirmation from NTR. He will direct his second film with NTR.

It is a big leap for the director whose debut film starred newcomer Vaishnav Tej.

Buchi Babu reportedly developed a bond with NTR while he was working as Sukumar’s associate for ‘Nannaku Prematho’. NTR even released the trailer of ‘Uppena’.

Buchi Babu recently narrated the outline of the script he has developed to NTR and got a nod from the star. The protagonist in the film is said to be a sportsman in multiple sports. Buchi Babu is now drafting the script.

Meanwhile, NTR will also launch another film after wrapping ‘RRR’. Buchi Babu and NTR’s film, which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, will go to sets by end of this year.
