Lenin trailer blends romance, politics and bloodshed in rural Chittoor

The “Lenin” trailer, starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, opens with a powerful voiceover by Nagarjuna Akkineni, setting the stage for a story rooted in the traditions of Chittoor district.

The narration explains that the people of the region worship Draupadamma with great devotion for 18 days every year, and that the land follows one sacred rule: not even a single drop of blood should fall on its soil.

The trailer then shifts to the blossoming romance between Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse’s characters, before gradually unfolding the political tensions that grip the region. As the story progresses, the various characters reveal their true colors, hinting at betrayal, power struggles and escalating conflict.

The final moments take a violent turn, establishing “Lenin” as a gritty rural action drama. Akhil’s character urges everyone to remain silent, drawing a parallel to Lord Krishna’s advice to Arjuna in the Kurukshetra war that battles need not always be fought with loud declarations.

Thaman’s background score amplifies the trailer’s intensity, adding to its emotional and action-packed moments.

Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Naga Vamsi, “Lenin” is set for July 10 release.
