OG storms North America box office with 2M pre-sales
Pawan Kalyan’s “OG” will permiere in theaters in North America on September 24. Three days before its theatrical debut, the film is rewriting the North American box office story.
In the U.S. market alone, OG has raked in $1.83 million from 63,908 tickets sold across 2,083 shows in 482 locations. When combined with Canada, the total has already crossed the coveted $2 million mark, with nearly 70,000 tickets snapped up.
The total North American pre-sales have crossed $2million. The film joined the list of movies like “Kalki 2898 AD”, “Devara”, “Pushpa 2” and “Coolie.” All these films grossed more millions dollars in their lifetime grosses. So, the trending of “OG” is similar.
The film’s premiere advance bookings have taken trade pundits by surprise. The trends also suggest the film could give tough competition to premiere records set by recent Indian blockbusters.
Directed by Sujeeth and bankrolled by DVV Entertainment, OG promises to showcase Pawan Kalyan in a power-packed new avatar, with Thaman’s music adding to the excitement.
