The makers of “Peddi” have finalized Mumbai as the venue for the film’s grand trailer launch event. Earlier, the team reportedly explored options like Bhopal and Indore, but the plans were later changed considering logistics and wider promotional strategies.
The trailer of the Ram Charan starrer will be unveiled at a special event in Mumbai on May 18. Jio Studios, which is handling the film’s Hindi release, is said to be making elaborate arrangements for the event.
The film has already generated strong buzz across languages. The team is also planning a grand musical event in another major city, where A. R. Rahman is expected to perform songs from the film live.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, “Peddi” is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead.
Set in the Vizianagaram region during a bygone era, the sports drama revolves around a multi-sport athlete who takes up a wrestling championship against all odds, driven by a mission to bring pride and development to his backward region.
