No small Telugu movie with mere budget of Rs 1 Cr has grossed one million dollars in USA so far. ‘Pellichoopulu’ is set to be the small Telugu movie that will be crossing the one million dollars mark. By end of third weekend, the movie has grossed $945k. All it needs another 65000 dollars to achieve the milestone of one million dollars mark. During this week it might achieve it.
Starring Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Varma, the heart-warming romantic drama is made with just Rs 1 cr budget and the movie’s overseas rights were bought by distributor for Rs 15 lakhs. The distributor is enjoying the profits to tune of 600 percent on investment.
The film is directed by newcomer Tharun Bhascker and produced by Raj Kandukuri and Yash Rangineni.
