“Kalki 2898 AD” features Prabhas in the role of ‘Bhairava’. The makers of this film have released a new poster announcing his character’s name. The poster also gives a glimpse of the future streets of the holy city Kasi. “Kalki 2898 AD” is set in a distant futuristic dystopian society, while also drawing inspiration from ancient mythology.
Prabhas is imposing, resembling the deity Kala Bhairava with his strong and muscular figure. Prabhas adorns a ponytail hairstyle and has a tattoo on his hand and he wears techno shades.
Kalki, set in the year 2898 AD, undertakes a trip that stretches across thousands of years, starting from the monumental events of the Mahabharata in 3101 BCE.
The movie, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Ashwini Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies, is now being filmed in Italy. Deepika Padukone is the primary female protagonist and Disha Patani is the second heroine. The film also includes pivotal roles played by Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.
The film is scheduled to have a release on May 9th, 2024.
