Producer Ashwini Dutt wants 200 Cr compensation

Producer Ashwini Dutt is demanding compensation of Rs 210 crore from the Andhra Pradesh government. Veteran actor Krishnam Raju also sought huge reimbursement from the state government. Both of them have given prime agricultural lands for the Gannavaram airport near Vijayawada.

The then AP government headed by Nara Chandrababu Naidu had agreed to compensate them with the lands in the core area of Amaravathi capital city. However, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government has plans to shift the administrative capital to Vizag from Amaravathi. Hence, Ashwini Dutt filed a petition in AP high court seeking Rs 210 crore for the 40-acre land he had given to Gannavaram airport expansion.

Krishnam Raju didn’t mention the money, but he is urging adequate compensation. The court asked the government to file its version.

Ashwini Dutt recently announced a mega project with Prabhas, which will be directed by Nag Ashwin of ‘Mahanati’ fame.
