Raashi Khanna appears to be on a strong career upswing, with 2026 shaping up to be a promising year for the actress. She is set for a major boost with several high-profile projects in the pipeline.
Raashi’s biggest Telugu release of the year will be her first film with Pawan Kalyan, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar, which is scheduled to hit theatres this summer. In addition, she is also said to have secured an important role opposite Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.
According to Bollywood media reports, Raashi Khanna has reportedly been roped in to play the role originally essayed by Meenakshi Chaudhary in the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The Hindi version, to be directed by Anees Bazmee, stars Akshay Kumar in the lead. The original Telugu film featured Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
Buzz suggests that Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna will reprise the roles played by Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary, respectively. While Meenakshi Chaudhary was initially in consideration for the Hindi remake as well, she is said to have missed out, with Raashi stepping in instead.
