‘Raja Saab’ and ‘Akhanda 2’ eye December release slot

After missing the crucial summer window, Telugu filmmakers are now locking in new release dates for their upcoming films. Recently, titles like OG, Mass Jathara, and Dacoit have officially announced their release plans. Joining the fray, two major films are reportedly targeting a December release. They are “Akhanda 2: Thaandavam” and “The Raja Saab”.

“Akhanda 2: Thaandavam,” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, is currently in production.

The original Akhanda, which released in December, was a blockbuster. Riding on that sentiment, the sequel is expected to shift from its initially planned September release to December.

Meanwhile, “The Raja Saab,” starring Prabhas and directed by Maruthi, has been in the making for over three years. Though there’s been little official word on its release, industry buzz suggests the makers are considering December 5 as a potential date. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal as the female leads.
