S. S. Rajamouli is known for extracting career-best performances from his actors. Stars like NTR, Ram Charan, Prabhas and Ravi Teja have delivered some of their finest work under his direction.
The ace filmmaker is currently helming “Varanasi,” a globe-trotting adventure thriller that blends mythology with high-octane action. The film marks his first collaboration with superstar Mahesh Babu, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas playing the female lead.
In a resurfaced interview with Variety, Rajamouli revealed his unique on-set feedback system. According to him, “Okay” signals a great shot, “Nice” means brilliant, and “Very Nice” is reserved for what he calls god-level acting.
Adding to the fun, Mahesh Babu joked that he often receives the top compliment, sparking lighthearted banter with Rajamouli and Priyanka, who quipped that even a “Very Nice” sometimes means another take.
The shooting of “Varanasi” has reportedly crossed the 50 percent mark and the film is slated for a grand release on April 7, 2027.
