Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad, who faced heavy backlash for referring to comedian Ali with an offensive slang term, has expressed regret over his remarks. Responding to the widespread criticism, the actor issued a statement promising to exercise restraint in the future and to address everyone with respect.
Acknowledging the shift in societal expectations, he said, “The world has changed, and I must adapt accordingly.”
Rajendra Prasad explained that during his prime, such informal language was common among peers and was used with affection rather than malice. “I’ve always spoken with love toward my fellow actors—that’s how I’ve sustained my journey in the film industry for so long,” he stated.

However, he admitted the need to evolve with the times and pledged to maintain decorum during public interactions. “I promise to speak with respect to everyone until my last breath,” he affirmed.
This isn’t the first time the actor has stirred controversy—he previously came under fire in March for making inappropriate comments about cricketer David Warner. The recent incident involving Ali has once again brought his public conduct into question.
