Superstar Rajinikanth is joining the Sankranthi race again. His recent films ‘Petta’ and ‘Darbar’ got released Sankranthi in 2019 and 2020 respectively. But both the movies bombed at the Telugu box-office. Perhaps, Rajinikanth is now focusing more on Tamil market. His current movie titled ‘Annaatthe’ has been pushed to Sankranthi 2021.
Sun Pictures has officially announced the change in the release plans.
The film starring Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, and Meena in key roles is being directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures. The family drama was earlier slated for Deepavali 2020 but it has now been pushed to Sankranthi 2021 due to delay in production caused by the lockdown.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’ is also looking at Sankranthi 2021. So, there will be an interesting clash next Pongal.
