Rajinikanth to skip shootings for another six months?

Superstar Rajinikanth was hoping to wrap up his current movie ‘Annaatthe’ in a span of six months but the coronavirus pandemic made entire Indian film industry go for the shutdown of activity. Since March this year, movie stars have remained stuck at their homes and not resuming movie shoots.

Given his age, the makers of his film have decided not to resume the shoot for another six months. The 69-year-old superstar has also agreed to this proposal.

The family drama which was originally slated for the Deepavali festival got postponed to Sankranthi 2021 but now it will be pushed to summer 2021. ‘Annaatthe’ is being directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures. The film features Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, and Khusbu Sundar as the female lead stars.

This decision also casts doubts on his poll debut. Rajinikanth had earlier announced that his soon-to-be-launched political outfit will contest the Tamilnadu assembly polls which are scheduled to take place next year. Till now, the star has not announced the party’s name, nor has he any plans for elections.
