Rajinikanth's Kaala to release on April 27

As we reported recently, Shankar’s magnum opus ‘2.0’ has been postponed indefinitely. The film was supposed to release on 27 April. In its place, Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ is releasing.

Producer and Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush today announced the movie’s release date. ‘Kaala’, a gangster flick being directed by Pa Ranjith of ‘Kabaali’ fame, narrates the story of a guy from Tamilnadu who escapes to Mumbai as a child and goes on to become a powerful gangster.

‘Kaala’ features Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar in other important roles. Santosh Narayanan is providing the music. ‘Kaala’ is not sequel to ‘Kabaali’ but it runs with similar theme.
