Rakasa sells theatrical rights for a hefty price

“Rakasa,” starring Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika, is generating strong buzz even before its release. The film’s teaser has struck a chord with audiences, translating into solid pre-release business across territories.

The Telugu States theatrical rights have been acquired by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers in a high-value deal, signaling strong confidence in the film’s box office potential.

For overseas markets, distribution will be handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures and Prathyangira Cinemas. The film is scheduled for overseas premieres on April 2, 2026, a day ahead of its worldwide theatrical release.

On the digital front, streaming giant Netflix has acquired the OTT rights, while audio rights have been secured by Saregama. With both theatrical and non-theatrical deals closed at strong prices, “Rakasa” is heading into release with solid backing.

The film is produced by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal, with Manasa Sharma directing the project.
