Rakasa trailer unveils a gripping folklore world

The trailer of “Rakasa” has been unveiled, offering a deeper glimpse into a visually rich folklore universe rooted in myth, ritual, and survival, with a touch of humor woven naturally into the narrative.

Visually, the trailer makes an immediate impact, drawing viewers into a world defined by torch-lit interiors, dense textures, and imposing fortress-like settings that feel raw and immersive. What starts off on a familiar note gradually expands into a larger canvas, with hints of action, an ominous demonic presence, and high-stakes survival drama.

The film is headlined by Sangeeth Shobhan, known for “MAD” and “MAD Square”, and this time he steps into a more layered and intense role. He is paired with Nayan Sarika.

“Rakasa” is produced by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal under Pink Elephant Pictures in collaboration with Zee Studios. The film marks the directorial debut of Manasa Sharma, known for web shows like “Oka Chinna Family Story” and “Bench Life”. The film is slated for release on April 3, 2026.
