Dhurandhar 2 storms past Rs 1000 Cr in first week

“Dhurandhar 2” aka “Dhurandhar The Revenge” has created history at the box office, crossing the coveted Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide within just seven days. The film has matched the pace of “Pushpa 2” and emerged as the fastest Hindi film to achieve this milestone.

In India, the film has grossed a massive Rs 745 crore, becoming the second-highest after “Pushpa 2”. Overseas, it has added an impressive $28 million (around Rs 263 crore), with North America alone contributing a strong $16.5 million. The total worldwide gross now stands at approximately Rs 1008 crore.

For a Hindi film, these are phenomenal numbers.

If the current momentum continues, it has a strong chance of challenging the top spot at the Indian box office. At present, “Pushpa 2” holds the record with around Rs 1380 crore gross in India, while Aamir Khan’s “Dangal” remains the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide with over Rs 2070 crore.

It will be interesting to see where “Dhurandhar 2” eventually lands by the end of its theatrical run. For now, its first-week performance alone has set the tone for a historic box office journey.

The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside Sara Arjun. Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi play key roles. It is directed by Aditya Dhar.
