Few months ago, Nandamuri Balakrishna announced a biopic on his father Late N T Ramarao. He said he would essay the role of his father. Now it seems that it is finally taking place. Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is chosen for this project, a source told us. The director who is known for making movies on the controversial public figures like Vangaveeti Radha and Paritala is said to have approached Balakrishna. Balayya who has good rapport with RGV is reportedly agreed to his proposal.
The film will be made in Telugu and Hindi languages and it will be produced by Vishnu Induri.
Balakrishna is currently shooting for Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Paisa Vasool’ and he will commence his next movie in the direction of K S Ravikumar shortly. This biopic on NTR is likely to begin early next year. This is a big boost for RGV who has been waiting for a movie project since the debacle of Amitabh Bachchan ‘Sarkar 3’. He is not getting any offers either in Bollywood or in Tollywood. Of late, he is making a Web series.
