Rana to star in remake of old Bollywood classic

Daggubati Rana will be reprising the role that Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna did in 1971. The film is ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’. This film went on to become a cult film. Now this film will be remade in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

Prabhu Solomon will be directing this film. Speaking about the film Rana said that he is excited to act in this film as it is something different. Rana is glad that Trinity is backing this film.

Rana further elaborated, “It’s a rare story about the relevance of nature in our lives, narrated through a wonderful relationship between man and elephant. This story is definitely another of those rare challenges I’m beginning to enjoy being a part off. Prabhu Solomon passion for nature and elephants makes him probably the finest craftsman in the country who can handle a story like this.” The film will be looking at Diwali 2018 for release.
