Rana starrer multi-lingual movie ‘Aranya’ has already announced its release date as April 2nd. The film directed by Tamil director Prabhu Solomon has intensified its promotions as well. However, it is now facing a problem in Tamilnadu. The Tamil distributors are demanding to abolish local body tax on films. If the Tamilnadu government doesn’t heed to their demands, the distributors are planning to shut down the theaters in the state from March-end.
This is worrying the makers of ‘Aranya’ as the Tamilnadu market is crucial to this movie which is scheduled for simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
There is a proposal to postpone the movie. But there is no clarity on this front.
