Gunasekhar’s dream project, Hiranya Kashyapa, a mythological drama about is facing problems at the pre-production stage itself. The big-budgeted movie was to commence its shoot last year but now it has been pushed further. The film may begin this year-end. According to our sources, producer Suresh Babu has asked Rana to give dates after October. So, ‘Hiranya’ will not hit the floors any time soon.
Instead, Rana will focus on promoting his current films – ‘Aranya’ which is slated for April release and ‘Virata Parvam’ which will also hit the screens in May or June.
Initially, Rs 180 crore was stipulated as the budget for the movie but now it has been slashed after considering current market conditions. It will be made with Rs 100 crore in multiple languages. Gunasekhar has been doing pre-production work from the last year but some strange reasons it is getting delayed.
Rana has recovered from his ill-health fully and is working in films without taking many gaps.
