China has emerged key market for Bollywood movies of late. Chinese are lapping up Indian movies that have emotional content. Although Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ movies flopped, here is another Telugu film that is contemplating to try its luck in word’s biggest movie market.
According to reports, ‘Rangasthalam’, that emerged as third all-time highest grossing movie in Tollywood, may release in China. The production house reportedly got a proposal from a China distributor.
Directed by Sukumar, this Ram Charan and Samantha starrer gives a glimpse of rural Andhra. The revenge drama has good dose of emotions that might be connected with Chinese audiences.
It has to be seen whether ‘Rangasthalam’ will get nod from Chinese authorities to screen it there.
