Cinema halls and multiplexes will be shut with immediate effect in New Delhi. The state government has imposed new restrictions in the wake of a spike in COVID-19 cases. Subsequently, the makers of ‘Jersey’ (Hindi) have decided to postpone the release.
Produced by Dil Raju and Allu Aravind, ‘Jersey’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur is scheduled to hit the theaters on December 31st, 2021. But the film has indefinitely been postponed. Delhi is one of the major markets for Hindi movies.
‘Pushpa’ which is running well in North India will also suffer collections from today.
It remains to be seen whether our pan-India films like ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ go ahead with their original release plans or wait for more clarity.
