RGG2 not exact remake of Malayalam movie!

Director Ohmkar admits that producer PVP has bought rights of Malayalam hit ‘Pretham’ to make it into ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’. However, he continues, it is not exact remake. “I had taken just 30 percent from the original movie. Rest of the drama and scenes are entirely created by my team. It is more of an inspiration than a remake,” he adds further.

‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ stars Nagarjuna, Samantha and Seerat Kapoor in the lead roles. The film has Nag playing mentalist and Samantha as the spirit. The film is carrying good buzz and high expectations. Set for release this Friday (Oct 13), the horror-comedy thriller is produced by PVP Cinema and Matinee Entertainments.

Ohmkar began his career as a TV host and has turned to direction with ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’, which was a runway hit. Ohmkar says he has plans of extending ‘Raju Gari Gadhi’ series further in the coming years.

Though Nagarjuna stated that he made Ohmkar to reshoot the film for the betterment, the director says he reshot only a few scenes. “He (Nag) gave some inputs but the final product is entirely mine,” he said.
