RGV finally scores a hit!?

Ram Gopal Varma must be breathing easy now. After a long time, his film has got terrific openings on Day 1.

‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ didn’t release in Andhra Pradesh but Telangana (Nizam) helped it take massive openings. The film is getting a good second day run as well. For many weeks, RGV played the right game by targeting Chandrababu Naidu repeatedly. That made the film relevant and exciting for the present generation. Had it been about NTR, perhaps, the hype wouldn’t have been there.

RGV was bold enough to make it all about ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ versus Andhra Pradesh CM. He shared memes, wrote posts, gave interviews with the sole purpose of showing his film as a courageous piece. When was the last time that an RGV movie witnessed such a big opening? RGV is jubilant and promoting it aggressively on social media. 

What makes this success sweeter is the fact that this has come after the disastrous ‘Officer’.
