Even though the film’s release date is only 10 days away, it appears that the makers of “Salaar” are not doing any promotion or creating hype around it. Despite not doing much publicity, the producers have struck good deals with distributors in all regions, and the distributors are ensuring that the film is shown in as many theaters as possible.
The film’s advance ticket sales in the United States are massive. Despite competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki,” the distributor has secured more theaters for “Salaar.”
“Salaar” has complete dominance in Telugu states. In Andhra Pradesh, the film will have a nearly complete run. Mythri Movie Makers, the distributor, is also closing deals with theaters in Telangana to maximize the number of screens for this film over “Dunki.”
In Hyderabad, however, “Dunki” will be shown on more than 40% of multiplex screens.
Given this, “Salaar” will have a massive opening during the crucial first weekend. Prabhas’ fans can now rejoice. “Salaar” is directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films. The film is scheduled for December 22nd release.
