Samantha has joined the cast of remake of Bangalore Days. She is playing the role that was originally essayed by Nithya Menen in the Malayalam movie. Samantha was the original choice for the central character of Bangalore Days when the remake was announced. At that time she was undergoing a turbulent phase of love life with her then boyfriend Siddarth. So, she walked out of the project thinking that Siddharth would be playing the lead role. Eventually Siddharth also dropped off from the project.
Director Bommarillu Bhaskar then went ahead with Arya, Rana, Tamil actor Bobby Simha and Sri Divya. Sri Divya got the role that was planned for Samantha.
Now suddenly Samantha has agreed to be part of this remake and she has been given the role that was played by Nithya Menen. Currently, shooting is progressing in Hyderabad and sequences involving Rana and Samantha are being filmed.
The movie is being produced by PVP Cinema.
