Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th movie ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ will be premiering on 29th March on Star Maa TV. Krish directed the film. Released during Sankranthi festival, the film went onto become one of the biggest hits in the recent times.
Star Maa TV bagged the movie’s satellite rights for whopping Rs 9 Cr. And the channel is going to telecast it for the first time for Ugadi festival. Ugadi also commemorates the commencement of the Shaka calendar after Gautamiputra Satakarni. So, the channel has appropriately selected this festival to telecast the movie on 29th March.
The film is said to have collected revenue of more than Rs 70 Cr. This is Balakrishna’s biggest hit to date. The film starred Shriya as heroine.
