Satya Dev and Nayanthara begin their shoot in January

There have been rumors that Nayanthara declines to pair up with Satya Dev in ‘Godfather’, the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit ‘Lucifer’. Megastar Chiranjeevi is essaying the titular character. Nayanthara plays Chiranjeevi’s sister in the film.

Satya Dev has been roped in to play Nayanthara’s husband and the main villain of the film. But rumors suggest that Nayanthara wanted a big star to play her husband instead of an upcoming actor like Satya Dev.

However, the team of ‘Godfather’ has rubbished the rumors. The key member of the film unit informs Telugucinema.com that Satya Dev is very much part of ‘Godfather’. He will be joining the shoot in January. Nayanthara and Satya Dev will begin shooting then. 

The film’s shoot was halted due to the unavailability of dates of Nayanthara and Satya Dev as they are busy with their respective Bollywood projects (Nayanthara is the heroine in Shah Rukh Khan’s new movie, while Satya Dev is playing a key role in Akshay Kumar’s ‘Ram Sethu’). 

Directed by Mohan Raja, ‘Godfather’ will hit theaters in 2022.
