This Independence Day weekend has brought a wave of energy to the Indian box office, with War 2 and Coolie opening to massive collections and revitalizing theatrical business. Riding on this momentum, several Telugu films are now locking release dates for September 2025.
Pawan Kalyan’s “OG” had already staked its claim on September 25 and is progressing with promotional plans accordingly. The first week of the month will witness a direct clash between Anushka Shetty’s “Ghaati” and Teja Sajja’s “Mirai,” both scheduled for release on September 5.
Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas’s “Kishkindhapuri” has now joined the race, locking September 12 as its release date, while the Tamil-dubbed film “Bhadrakali” will arrive on September 19.
Meanwhile, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-anticipated “Akhanda 2” is likely to move out of the September schedule, clearing the way for other contenders.
