Samantha is currently promoting ‘Shaakuntalam,’ directed by Gunasekhar, which will be released on April 14. According to her, the film is similar to Disney films. In Hollywood, Disney is well-known for producing family films. And the global production house creates western mythologies with new technologies on a regular basis.
“The Shaakuntalam film will appeal to the entire family. Simply put, prepare to be Disneyfied,” she said at a press conference in Mumbai.
“I’ve always loved the Disney genre since I was a child. When I’m happy, I watch Disney movies,” she explained.
“The audience would feel what I felt while playing the role. This is not an easy story to tell. There is romance, betrayal, and redemption,” Samantha went on to say. “It was a complex character written many centuries ago.”
