Shankar to revive Indian 2 without Kajal?

Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Vikram’ is a blockbuster. This has given a boost to director Shankar and the production house Lyca Productions.

Not long ago their magnum opus ‘Indian 2’ was shelved. The reason was that Lyca Productions felt that the film was going over budget. Already Rs 180 Cr was spent and the budget assigned for the film was Rs 250 Cr. Fifty percent of the film’s shoot was complete then.

Shankar had a huge fallout with the producers when he was asked to cut the budget. After this disagreement, the project was shelved. Shankar moved on to Ram Charan’s film.

Now things are looking different. Actor Kamal Haasan is looking at reviving ‘Indian 2’. In all probability, the film might get a second chance. But actress Kajal might not be the female lead. Reports indicate that a new heroine will replace her.
