A leaked casting couch video featuring a Tamil actress has recently gone viral, sparking outrage across social media. The footage not only exposed the harsh realities of the Tamil film industry but also proved that the casting couch culture persists despite the global #MeToo movement.

The video continues to trend, drawing widespread attention. Following its release, actress Shruthi Narayanan initially deactivated her Instagram account for a few hours but later returned, addressing the issue head-on.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Shruthi condemned those sharing the video, emphasizing the devastating impact on the woman involved. She wrote:”By spreading this like wildfire, it only proves that all men are predators, lurking for lust in anything and everything.”

Shruthi, known for her work in Tamil television and web dramas, further expressed her emotional distress, urging people to stop sensationalizing the incident. She pleaded: “I am also a girl with feelings, deeply affected—mentally, physically, and emotionally—by all of this. As a humble request, I plead with you all to put a stop to this, for the sake of humanity.”

“At this point things are just going beyond a limit.

Everyone has an opinion to talk about the victim be it good or bad but nobody had the time to talk rubbish about the shameless person who is still undiscovered behind screens of the phone and is targeting to spoil a girl’s life.

Not just the person responsible but also loads of people who share it in the name of fun and wow new content.

Yet again no one ever gets 2 seconds to think that this matter revokes around a girl and she can also get mentally affected by everything that is happening.

By sharing like wild fire, this just proves that all men are predators who just are lurching for lust in anything and everything.

Again not to mention I’m also a girl who has feelings and who is very much mentally and physically and emotionally affected by all these problems. As a humble request I plead you all to put a stop to this for the sake of humanity.”
