Actor Shruti Haasan had a brief moment of irritation when a paparazzi member addressed her as “mumma” during a recent outing in Mumbai.
The term “amma,” commonly used in South India as a respectful or affectionate way to address women, was seemingly misunderstood in the context. When one of the photographers called out to her using the term, Shruti responded sharply.
“Kaun hai mumma? Aapki mumma hai? Kya baat kar rahe ho tum?” she said, clearly expressing her displeasure at being addressed that way.
Despite the momentary irritation, the actress quickly moved on and allowed the photographers to capture her pictures. She even smiled and waved goodbye before leaving, showing there was no lingering tension.
Shruti Haasan, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday, is currently based in Mumbai. While she doesn’t have an immediate release lined up, she is expected to return to the sets of “Salaar 2,” reprising her role alongside Prabhas in the sequel to the blockbuster Salaar.
