Young actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda rose to stardom with the massive successes of “DJ Tillu” and its sequel “Tillu Square.” However, his recent outing “Jack” turned out to be a major box-office disaster, failing to recover even 10% of its production cost.
Producer BVSN Prasad suffered significant financial losses, with the Nizam distributor—who had acquired the film for a hefty Rs 10 crore—also facing heavy setbacks. Aware of the situation and the financial strain on the team, Siddhu Jonnalagadda stepped in with a thoughtful gesture.
In a move that’s being widely appreciated in the industry, Siddhu voluntarily returned Rs 4 crore from his remuneration to the producer, acknowledging the losses incurred. His action has earned him praise for not only his empathy but also his understanding of the film business.
Siddhu is currently working on his next film “Telusu Kada,” which is scheduled for release during the Deepavali festival.
