Gone are the days of our filmmakers blatantly copying foreign movies. Foreign makers are filing cases. This is the age of acquiring remake rights.
After the success of ‘Oh Baby’, the trend of buying remake rights of successful Korean movies is catching up. Buzz is that Sudheer Varma of ‘Swamy Ra Raa’ fame is also set to direct an action drama called ‘Midnight Runners’. The Korean film starred two male leads but in the Telugu version, genders of the lead actors might get changed.
Sudheer Varma’s recent film ‘Ranarangam’ bombed. We have to wait and see which heroines would act in this remake.
