Sunny Deol’s film replaces RT4GM

The recently announced film #RT4GM starring Ravi Teja and directed by Gopichand Malineni has been shelved. Mythri Movie Makers and Ravi Teja met several times to discuss the ‘budget’. However, they eventually decided that it should not be taken to the sets.

The much-anticipated #RTGM4, which was launched with great fanfare, drew big names for cast and crew. The production company even roped in Priyanka Arul Mohan to play the female lead. Indhuja, a Tamil actress, has joined the cast.

When the film was about to begin its regular shoot, the producers were taken aback by the final remuneration Ravi Teja quoted. On paper, the budget exceeded Rs 100 crore. The production house felt it was no longer viable as the Hindi dubbing market declined and OTT companies imposed certain restrictions on purchasing films.

Fortunately, they were able to secure the dates of Bollywood star Sunny Deol, who recently delivered a Rs 500 crore (India nett) blockbuster with “Gadar 2.” So the production team had Gopichand Malineni tell Sunny Deol the same story, and he readily agreed.

Sunny Deol’s Hindi film will now be directed by Gopichand Malineni.
