Telangana bans benefit shows post-Pushpa incident

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, the minister of cinematography for Telangana State, has announced a ban on benefit shows for all movies henceforth. He said the government will not further allow benefit shows for any movie in the future.

This decision follows a tragic incident where a woman died during paid premieres on Wednesday night. Due to the stampede to see Allu Arjun at the Sandhya theater at RTC X Roads in Hyderabad, a woman died, and her son is in a critical situation.

This incident brought widespread criticism for lack of security arrangements.

This decision will impact upcoming big films like Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaj”.
