December 4 marks a date Allu Arjun will never forget. It was on this day last year that his record-breaking blockbuster “Pushpa 2: The Rule” premiered, but the celebrations turned into tragedy.
The actor attended the premiere show at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, 2024. As fans rushed forward to catch a glimpse of him, chaos erupted. A stampede occurred, resulting in the tragic death of a woman and leaving her son, Sritej, severely injured.
Allu Arjun and his team took full responsibility for the boy’s treatment, covering all expenses until he was discharged from the hospital. Although he returned home months ago, he is still undergoing recovery.
On the professional front, “Pushpa 2” cemented Allu Arjun’s status as one of India’s biggest pan-Indian stars. The film grossed over Rs 800 crore in Hindi alone and amassed a worldwide collection of nearly Rs 1800 crore, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.
While Pushpa 2 brought unprecedented glory and superstardom, the painful memory of the stampede continues to haunt Allu Arjun, reminding him that success sometimes arrives with sorrowful shadows.
