Upendra on Tuesday announced his resignation from the party he formed last year. “I have tendered my resignation to the Karnataka Pragnyavanta Janata Party (KPJP). I will soon register (with the Election Commission) my new party ‘Prajakeeya’ and contest in the upcoming state elections,” Upendra told reporters in Bangalore on Tuesday.
He formed this party on October 31 last year. He said his party will not do rajakeeya (politics) but prajakeeya (politics in the interest of public) but he seems to be victim of his party’s internal rajakeeya.
Grapevine is that he may now join Bharatiya Janata Party.
