USA: Kabali is new Baahubali!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ has performed almost on par with Rajamouli’s mega-budgeted epic drama ‘Baahubali’ in USA. The film has collected more than four million dollars in USA in its first weekend.

Rajamouli’s “Baahubali” raked in 4.4 million dollars in its first weekend. ‘Kabali’ got almost the same figures.

‘Kabali’ was directed by an upcoming director and didn’t feature any glamour heroine and has received bad talk and low ratings from critics. Still, it created history due to the charisma of Rajinikanth. The film showed Rajinikanth in different way – the aging superstar. The movie has created huge pre-release buzz and it helped the movie to have such staggering openings in USA.

On the other hand, superstar Rajinikanth is back in India after staying in USA for about a month undergoing treatment for his illness. He looked cheerful and active. CineGalaxy, the distribution house that released the movie in USA in Telugu and Tamil, is minting gold. The distribution company will be getting nearly Rs 10 Cr profit from this movie.
