Two recent Telugu films have altered the rankings of the highest-grossing movies of all time at the North American box office. Although “Salaar,” which premiered in December 2023, concluded its theatrical run last week, the Sankranthi release “Hanu Man” is projected to achieve a gross revenue of over $4 million by the end of its entire theatrical run.
“Salaar” is the third biggest blockbuster for Prabhas after “Baahubali” movies. Interestingly, the Telugu version of “Salaar” alone contributed more than $7 million to its gross.
“Hanu Man” is the most profitable film ever for the North Indian distributor, when compared to other movies in this top ten list.
Baahubali 2 – $20M
RRR – $14.3M
Salaar – $8.9M
Baahubali The Beginning – $8M
Ala Vaikunthapurramllo – $3.6M
Rangasthalam – $3.5M
Bharat Ane Nenu – $3.4M
Saaho – $3.2M
Adipurush – $3.1M (But this is more of a Hindi film)
HanuMan – $3M*
