Varun Tej – Surender Reddy film not happening?

We have earlier reported that director Surender Reddy is planning to launch his next directorial with Varun Tej as a hero. Surender Reddy did hold discussions with Prabhas but the ‘Saaho’ star had already signed a film with Sandeep Vanga and asked him to wait for another two years. So, Surender Reddy planned a movie with Varun Tej.

But sources close to Surender Reddy inform us that the director has now changed his plans. He has dropped the idea as he may have to compromise on the budget as Varun Tej doesn’t have a big market.

He will now wait for Allu Arjun. The ‘Racegurram’ director will now focus on writing script for Bunny. 

Surender Reddy directed ‘Sye Raa’ won him a good name but the film couldn’t recover its production cost. He will now direct an out and out commercial entertainer.
