Venkatesh turns Naarappa, shoot begins

That Venkatesh is acting in the remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Asuran’ is old news. The latest update is that the Telugu version has been titled ‘Naarappa’. The film’s shoot has commenced.

Suresh Productions and Kalaipuli Thanu are producing it in Telugu in the direction of Sreekanth Addala. ‘Asuran’ was a critically acclaimed blockbuster. The Telugu version will also remain faithful to the original. Mani Sharma is composing the music.

The first look posters give us the impression that Venkatesh has tried hard to get the look right. He is reprising the role that was originally done by Dhanush exceptionally.

The film is about a farmer from an oppressed caste trying to save his hot-blooded son. Venkatesh will be seen as a farmer.
