Veteran cinematographer V Jayaram, who cranked the camera for such blockbusters as ‘Pelli Sandadi’ and ‘Major Chandrakanth’, passed away. He had recently tested positive for COVID-19 and breathed his last on Thursday (May 20) night in Hyderabad.
Born in Warangal district, he turned cinematographer with Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Chiranjeevi’ in the ’80s and went on to work for many movies in Telugu and Malayalam industries. He filmed many prominent films like ‘Sri Shirdi Sai Mahatyam’, 1921 (Malayalam), Mrugaya, Major Chandrakanth, Pelli Sandadi, Shiva Shankar, etc.
He was the regular cameraman for directors such as K Raghavendra Rao and IV Sasi.
