Tamil superstar Vijay’s ‘Master’ was slated for April 10 release in Tamil and Telugu languages. But the film got postponed indefinitely due to lockdown amid coronavirus outbreak. Similar was the case with Dhanush’s bilingual ‘Jagame Tantram’. Dhanush film was slated for May 1st release.
Both these biggies have received tempting deals from OTT companies. The digital streaming firms reportedly quoted fancy prices to secure the rights of these movies to release them first their platforms bypassing theatrical release.
However, both the heroes refused the proposals and the producers called off discussions with OTT firms. ‘Master’ and ‘Jagame Tantram’ will hit the screens whenever the conditions improve.
‘Master’ is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraju of ‘Khaidi’ fame while Karthik Subbaraju is helming ‘Jagame Tantram’.
