Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom sets its premiere date on Netflix?

Vijay Deverakonda’s “Kingdom” was released on July 31, 2025, to mixed reviews. However, the film could not sustain its momentum in theaters beyond the first weekend. On its opening day, it appeared poised to become a huge blockbuster, thanks to massive worldwide openings.

Now, the film has completed its theatrical run. The makers had closed the OTT deal well before its release, with Netflix acquiring the digital streaming rights.

The latest buzz is that Netflix will begin streaming the film on August 28, 2025. It has become a regular trend for most Telugu films to debut on OTT platforms within four weeks of their theatrical release, and “Kingdom” is no exception. However, Netflix has yet to make the date official.

“Kingdom,” which revolved around a brotherly sentiment and a tribe’s fight to reclaim their land, featured multiple narrative threads.
