Vijay Sethupathi is one of the busiest stars in Kollywood. Being hailed as the most talented star-actor in the present Tamil film industry, he is chased by filmmakers for his dates. No wonder then that he’s charging a bomb for even small roles in Telugu films.
He is debuting in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa’. He did this role on the special request by Chiranjeevi. Though it’s a very small role, the actor was paid handsomely by producer Ram Charan. Now, he is charging a whopping Rs 5 Cr for the villain’s role in the upcoming ‘Uppena’. The film has newcomer Vaishnav Tej (brother of Sai Dharam Tej) as the lead actor. When producers asked him to slash remuneration, he refused to allow the dates. They are forced to pay him such a high amount. Half of the budget of this movie has gone to his remuneration.
But his presence and his performance make a huge difference to the movie. Hence, he is in such demand.
