Vishnu Manchu’s dream projec Kannappa is all set to hit theaters on June 27th. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Dr. M. Mohan Babu, the film created good buzz. In a media interaction on Thursday, Vishnu expressed gratitude for the response, revealing that over one lakh tickets have already been sold.
Vishnu credited the film’s positive momentum to Lord Shiva’s blessings and shared his intention of keeping ticket prices affordable, especially for families and children. “The film is made with them in mind,” he said.
The actor confirmed wide release plans including early 2 AM shows in Karnataka and a strong release in Kerala. He clarified that the film won’t be available on OTT for at least 10 weeks.
Vishnu called Kannappa a historical figure, not a myth. “He lived among us and is still worshipped,” he said, adding that his own four children appear in the film.
